Owner of Nothing

Honest answers

This is a page about a product that does nothing, so there is no reason to be cagey. If anything below is unclear, that is a mistake and we would like to know.

What do I actually get?

A certificate, by email, with a number on it and a name on it. That is the whole product. It is nicely made and it is genuinely all there is.

You do not get a parcel, a card, a badge, a discount code, a membership, a token, a share of anything, or any rights whatsoever. The certificate says so on its face.

So I am paying £4.99 for nothing?

Yes. That is not a catch, it is the product. If that sounds like a waste of £4.99, it probably is one, and you should not buy it. Plenty of people want exactly this, usually for somebody who already owns everything else.

Is this a scam?

No, and the test is a fair one to apply: a scam needs you to misunderstand what you are buying. This page exists so that you cannot. You are told before you pay that you receive nothing of value, and then you receive exactly that.

Payment is taken by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which is a regulated payment company and the merchant of record, so your card details never reach us. The seller is B-Stemed Group Limited, a company registered in Cyprus, number HE 427572.

Is it an NFT, or crypto, or on a blockchain?

No. There is no token, no wallet, no chain and no coin. It is a row in an ordinary database and a certificate in an email. Nothing about this product needs a blockchain and we have not pretended otherwise.

Will my Nothing be worth something one day?

No. Buy it as a joke or a gift, and for no other reason. It is not an investment, it is not an asset, it will not appreciate, and there is nowhere to sell it.

If you are buying £4.99 of Nothing in the hope it turns into money, please do not. That is the one way to be disappointed by this.

Can I give it to somebody?

Yes, and most people do. Put their name on the certificate, choose what it is for if it is for an occasion, and pick the day it should arrive. It goes to their inbox, not yours, with your message on it if you add one.

Is my number unique?

Yes. Numbers are issued once, in order, and never reissued, even if an order is refunded. You do not choose your number and neither do we.

Will anybody know I bought Nothing?

Only if you tell them. There is no public list of owners and there never will be. We do not publish names or numbers, and we do not sell or share your details with anybody. See the privacy page.

Can I have a refund?

If the certificate has not been sent yet, or it never arrived, or it arrived broken, or you were charged twice: yes, in full.

If you asked for the emailed one immediately and ticked the box at checkout confirming you understood that this ends the 14‑day right to cancel, then strictly speaking no. Ask anyway. We would rather give you £4.99 back than have you feel caught out by a joke.

The refunds page has the detail.

How many Nothings are there?

No limit. Nothing is not scarce and we will never pretend it is running out to hurry you along. There is no edition size, no countdown and no last chance.

What am I supposed to do with it?

Nothing, ideally. We wrote a short manual on how to do that properly, which is more of an art than people expect.

Who is behind this?

B-Stemed Group Limited, a company registered in Cyprus, number HE 427572, trading as Owner of Nothing. A real person answers hello@ownerofnothing.com, usually quickly, because there is not much to support.
